Stereo Camera

Stereo Camera

oToBrite’s long-range 3D stereo vision camera combines 120dB high dynamic range (HDR) imaging with global shutter synchronization, ensuring stable feature extraction in challenging conditions such as harsh sunlight, deep shadows, and low-texture environments. Featuring a dual-baseline design (60mm / 120mm), it delivers depth perception up to 20 meters, making it ideal for outdoor navigation and obstacle detection. Combined with automated 3D calibration and plug-and-play capability, the solution reduces system integration complexity and development costs.

Synchronized High-Dynamic Vision

With sub-microsecond (<1µs) hardware-level global shutter synchronization, the stereo camera ensures precise left-right image alignment. Fully coupled AE/AWB and a built-in ISP deliver consistently balanced inputs to neural networks. Combined with a 120dB mono global shutter, it captures reliable pixel details even in extreme high-contrast outdoor conditions, preserving critical information across both shadows and highlights.

Optical Precision with Seamless Integration

Optical Precision with Seamless Integration

Through a precision 5-axis Active Alignment process, the stereo camera achieves near-perfect optical parallelism, maximizing effective field of view while ensuring automotive-grade resistance to vibration and shock. Complemented by rigorous factory pre-calibration, each unit is delivered with accurate intrinsic and extrinsic parameters, enabling true plug-and-play deployment with reliable depth performance from the start.

Flexible Baselines for Human-Centric and Long-Range Vision

Designed for diverse applications, the stereo camera offers flexible baseline configurations to optimize both human-centric and industrial use cases. The 60mm baseline matches human IPD (Interpupillary Distance) for comfortable, dizziness-free VR teleoperation, while its ultra-compact (<9cm), IP69K-rated housing enables seamless integration into humanoid robots. For long-range perception, the 120mm wide baseline extends depth sensing up to 20 meters, paired with the same compact, IP69K-rated design to ensure reliable performance in heavy machinery and harsh environments.

GMSL™ VIO Camera

The VIO (Visual-Inertial Odometry) camera integrates an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to deliver data on acceleration and angular velocity after using the Kalman filter. This enables effective compensation for vibrations, offering stable image output and more accurate distance measurement. The camera enhances navigation and obstacle avoidance capabilities for autonomous robots and unmanned vehicles, ensuring reliable performance in dynamic real-world scenarios.

Vibration Compensation for Accurate Localization

Rough terrains and uneven surfaces often cause vibrations that degrade the performance of visual SLAM systems. By fusing IMU data with visual inputs, the VIO camera compensates for distortions in real time, enhancing depth estimation accuracy and reducing localization errors. This ensures reliable navigation and obstacle avoidance even under highly dynamic outdoor conditions.

Compact Integration with Onboard Processing

The camera integrates both an IMU and an MCU directly into the module, creating a compact and self-contained system architecture. The built-in MCU runs an Extended Kalman Filter on 6-axis IMU data (accelerometer + gyroscope), offloading processing tasks from the central ECU while still delivering reliable orientation and motion data. This design reduces wiring complexity, saves space, and enhances system reliability, making it ideal for edge AI deployments.

Automotive-Grade Reliability for Harsh Environments

Engineered to meet stringent automotive standards, the VIO Camera is built for long-term stability in outdoor environments. Its robust design withstands continuous vibration, extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, rain, and dust. The durability ensures consistent performance for AMRs, UGVs, and other robotic platforms operating in challenging real-world conditions where reliability cannot be compromised.
